“Love VA” Fauxsaic
This 8 ft. by 10 ft. “fauxsaic” was custom designed for the Archer Hotel's new lobby bar in Falls Church, VA. The goal was to create a strong visual impact and a unique photo backdrop for hotel guests with a lettering-based fauxsaic design that celebrates Northern Virginia, specifically the Mosaic District and Washington DC. We drew inspiration from Nick Misani’s fauxsaics to create an experience suited to the local and aesthetics of the Archer Hotel.
SCOPE
– Fauxsaic artwork, scalable to 8 ft. by 10 ft. with life-size tiles
The graphic motifs are inspired by the mosaics in the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building.
We used stylized cherry blossoms to celebrate the iconic DC flora.
